I too am America,
so why can’t I have a voice?
Why won’t these people hear the words that come out of my mouth?
I am no different from him or her.
I mean, I should be heard like he has been heard or they have been heard.
But, they just look at me and say,
“What she says is not important, she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.”
But I promise you, if the other person that looks “different” from me
says the same thing, I bet they get their voice heard
just because I am so called different or not the same as them.

I too am America,
so why won’t you hear me out
and not just hear the words that come out of my mouth,
but listen to exactly what I am saying?
