Dear friends and book lovers,
Like many organizations around Chicago and the country, Literature for All of Us is suspending all in-person activities and, sadly, postponing our largest fundraiser of the year.
Spring Brunch 2020 was scheduled to take place on April 26th, but we must join the collective effort to fight the COVID-19 outbreak and act in accordance with statewide public health guidelines. We look forward to rescheduling the event.
To our loyal and enthusiastic community, we ask for your steadfast support in this moment. These are extremely challenging times for non-profits, particularly for small, local organizations who stand to take the biggest hit.
In that spirit, your generosity and patience is so appreciated as we realign and work on alternative plans and revenue sources.
Our program staff are following requests from site partners to suspend in-person book groups for the time being. But as a trauma-informed organization, we know that our services and approach can be incredibly useful in times like these. We are working hard on creative ways to continue connecting with book group participants.
Stay tuned for further updates and exciting news on the horizon. In the meantime, it’s a great time to catch up on some reading!
Wishing you peace, health, and wellness.
